I just upgraded my 2000 GF wagon with 40k, and it certainly does make the car faster (almost as fast as the Aero) however in my particular case the upgrade also caused issues with the DI cassette (misfiring under heavy acceleration) that only a new DI/plugs resolved.
my gas mileage has also decreased by 3-5MPG (and that's with the same driving style using 93 octane as opposed to the 89 I was using previously)
If you drive aggressively and/or crave more speed/acceleration then it certainly has value. however if you're relatively happy with your car's acceleration then I personally don't feel the risks (potential of voiding the warranty / increasing strain on your engine, etc) are worth it.
