I can't understand why anyone would be nervous. I own a '99 SE LPT M/T 90K miles - I have had what I would consider excellent luck with this car. Yes, I have had the DI go bad and the serpentine belt and pulley replaced but thats about it for major issues. The car has 90K on it now and still looks, smells and drives like a brand new car. It still looks like a $40,000 car to be honest!

You just can't seem to wear anything out on it. It looks even newer then my dads Infinity with 30K and holes in the carpet where your feet rest near the pedals and discolored dash and interior from the sun.

With TLC these cars are totally worth it! Especially with the prices you can buy a used one for now a days! I wish I had waited a few years to purchace mine used I could have saved thousands and had what you would call a brand new car.

Even after owning this car for a while, driving anything else just seems lame to me. I always look forward to getting behind the wheel and having "that smile" on my face and feeling like I’m better then everyone else. I guess you would say I am a Snaab?

I'm sure others will chime in on the quality, the feeling and the GREAT luck that they have had with theirs.

LOL... Perhaps an executive from Saab will read my post and help me get a great discount on a new one for my excellent PR work. I'd love to purchase a new 9-5 but due to the economy the money is a little tight right now and I will need to keep my old girl around for a while. I really don't mind though.

;-)

Cheers,
Joe

P.S., yes I did replace the badges and the lug nuts - but so what. Those are such very minor details for a car with some miles on it. At least they don't get stolen every week like they do on my friends Honda. Now that's really frustrating!
