"chrome" grill bubbling and peeling I think that has been my biggest issue with the cosmetics of my 9-5. Saab will not admit it's a problem. I bought the smoke replacement from eBay and it's nice, when I tool the old one off I peeled it just to see if there was anything under the "chrome" that was causing it. I could not find anything.
The SID was looking pretty bad but I bought an extended warranty, that's the only thing that failed that they cover, go figure.
The badge peeling was taken care of buy customer care, I called them and they sent me a 50.00 credit to use at my local Saab dealer. They look at that as almost advertising, if a car has a faded or peeled off badge it reflects them.
All in all I love my Saab, sometimes I vent over the stupid things but it's because I care, some people just drive their car and don't notice anything.
I've never owned a Honda or Toyota so I can't compare Saab to them but over BMW, Audi and Volvo they all have little issues.
