No problems with Cross-drilled rotors....

I installed cross-drilled rotors 30,000 miles ago and have had no problems. I have read the reports regarding excessive warping of this style of rotor, but I have my own opinion on this. My suspicion is that individuals have installed cross-drilled rotors and EBC (or identical) pads for looks/increased braking performance, yet don't drive aggressively enough to avoid the rotor deposit problem which can plague organic (EBC) brake pads.
I don't drive aggressively either, but installed perfromance semi-metallic pads (Mintex Red Box) at same time as cross-drilled rotors, and have had no problems. Yes, I installed them primarily for the appearance factor when my original rotors wore too thin.
One caveat however. Cross-drilled rotors will growl when stopping hard. Some owners could be clearly bothered by this sound.
