3. Is the Aero and auto too? The 2001 Aero auto had less torque then the manual which would make some difference. Also what kind of gas is in it, if it is less than 92/93 octane you power will be seriously reduced. The performance in my 2000 9-5 Aero is better than from the wife's '03 9-3 SE convertible, so something is amiss if you don't notice the difference. There may be other problems but there are others on this board more qualified to address those than I am.

4. The 17 inch tires will be more harsh than 16 inch. It is the shorter side walls that make the difference. 16 inch would provide a better ride and more pot hole protection at the expense of performance. Personally I run 40 psi which provides enough pot hole protection and I find the ride acceptable.

5. The air filter is in the bottom front of the right front fender and is accessed from below the car.

6. The cornering lights were dropped in '01 or '02. Look in the fog light housing. If you have two bwo bulbs, you have cornering lights. The one outboard and halogen is the fog light, the one inboard will be a normal incandesent bulb and is the cornering light.

7. 2001 side mirrors were not auto-dimming.
