I had a nicely modified 95SET. When it was rearended and killed, I did not want to go to the NG_9-3. I also had/have an emotional problem going from the hatch to a sedan. So I sought emotional comfort in a 9-5 Aero Wagon 5spd. It satified my need for a hatch and is a great vehicle. Lots of power (but too heavy to toss around like the 95SET). Great fuel economy, better than the 95SET which I got great MPGs with.
Seat height is adjustable.
Trouble spots in the 9-5? With a new one, perhaps very little. You loose the weather radio on the 2004+ production. You gain auto dimming mirrors and perhaps HID lamps, depending on trim levels. You will have to get yourself a spare DI for the back. A red DI will work for a temporary spare.
Look at the way the cargo area of the wagon is trimmed out. I think that you will find it very attractive.
