For the '04 Arc...WHERE are the right spots to place the std jack stands??? I have searched this site and am quite leary of what I read regarding the "right" points, assuming I am using two 2T hydraulic floor jacks to elevate the car. I can't say that there is a definitive post on this topic, at least for the new unibodies.
When I read the following (from an earlier TSN note) and then go look for the spot mentioned, I'm confused..."you must position the jack saddle directly under the lip of the unibody where the notch is, which is about 5-6 inches from the outside of the rocker panel. Look for the arrow that is indented in the rocker panel for a clue as to where the notch is."
Using the Search mode, there are continuing posts on this topic up to the present time, so I suspect I am right about this...nothing definitive!
Thanks for your thoughts.
