I actually don't think it is enough clearence to take it up and the preferred (factory) way is to drop it all down.
Surely it's easy for me to say using a car hoist and table under the car to place the whole shebang on (engine, trans and subframe is left as one piece).
You place a couple of wooden blocks between trans/subframe and engine/subframe for stability when the motor mounts are loosened, lower the car down to the table, loosen the reminding subframe bolts and lift the car up in the air again.
After that you use a engine hoist to lift and seperate the engine/trans. Transmission can stay on the subframe/table.
