I have a 2003 Linear wagon. It has all the bells and whistles, including xenons, back up sensor, rain sensing wipers, etc. It has roughly 20K miles and has been excellent. It is wonderful in the snow, and extremely comfortable on the highway. The engine is also wonderful - you won't win too many races, but it has good passing power and is fun to drive.
I also own a 2004 Aero sedan. It is a little more fun to drive, as it is a 5-spd and quite a bit more powerful. However - snow tires are a must for the northern states. It does not do too well without them. Either way you go, you can't lose, in my opinion. The 9-5 is a great car in any form.
