Damn 00 Aero tires...

I've heard a person or two on this board say they've had problems with the stock 00 Aero tires...
I had one pick up a nail at about 5000 miles. Was not repairable because the nail went in on the far outside of the tire and it was recommended that I not reuse it because of the likelyhood of a failure in a corner under stress.
This past weekend, picked up another nail at about 8000 miles. Thankfully I just got word that this one was fully repairable and is waiting for me to pick it up.
Certainly it could be a statistical anomaly but 2 tires in 8000 miles??? I've never had such a problem with flats. At $260-320 each (tirerack - local dealer), I can't justify these tires, especially if they keep getting flats. Perhaps it's Michelin's new magnatrack system that uses the earth's core to hold the car to the road? Or maybe I should fit some powerful electro-magnets in front of the wheels to pick up any nails/screws before I run them over! That just might work and I wouldn't have to stop by the hardware store nearly as often!
Anyway, maybe there is something about these tires? As it is, it's about time for the Gislaved's to go on (and Blizzak's on the 85 900) so they shouldn't get much more wear until next spring. I'll let everyone know if I pick up some more nails.
