Some areas in the country may not have converted to winter-grade fuel, which has higher vapor pressure. With the lower vapor pressure in summer-grade fuel, cold weather can cause startup problems. Deposits which build up on intake valves can act as a sponge during cold start, causing some of the fuel vapors to condense, thus leaning out the engine during startup. Techron fuel additive gets rid of these deposits, helping with the cold-start problems. Chevron gasoline contains Techron in it, so switching to Chevron would also help. Some valve designs are more prone to deposit buildup than others, though I don't know how Saabs do. With 33k miles on my '03 V6, I've not had any problems, though I'm in California (warmer weather) and use chevron exclusively. Good luck...
