Hi Tom,
Well, it's good to hear that everyone's okay. I'm still waiting on information about the condition of the motorcycle rider from my accident last week. At this point, i'm just letting my insurance take care of everything. I figure, that's we I pay them. Everything's preliminary right now, but so far, they have been pretty good at keeping me updated on what's going on.
If you decided to have the insurance cover the costs of your repairs, make sure the shop uses factory saab parts. Sometimes they use aftermarket parts and it affects the resale value of the car.
Being an avid cyclist, i've been hit by a car before. Luckily I only ended up with a bruise and a few frightening thoughts of "what if...". I'm sure the other guy was pretty freaked out as i'm sure it was a traumatic experience for you too. I wish you the best of luck in an unfortunate situation.
Regards,
Ivan
