I've decided I'm definitely going to get it done by the dealer. I just hope their trustworthy enough to actually do it! Anyone have comments about Saab of Milford, CT?
I wish I took pictures of what the fluid and drain plugged looked like on my last car at 15k, nevermind what it would of looked like at 30k when the recommended service came up to have the transmission serviced.
But oddly enough, my next change pretty much came up clean and the oil looked like it definitely could have lasted much longer. Makes me wonder if saab just thinks the poor magnetic drain plug can suck up all the particles initially, and just hold on to them for the life of the car? I guess in theory it probably would work to some degree, but I wouldn't want to chance it. If I or someone else accidently grinds the gearbox enough times going forward, how effective would that drain plug still be coated up and all?
