All,

Need your help.

I have owned 3 Saabs over the last 9 years. I have used the cars to travel to/from work. I drive about 100 miles/day on the highways in NJ.

I just bought a 2001 95 Aero. I love it and it just looks great. Red. The paint is still in great condition. I say still because all my other Saabs ended up with their hoods being sandblasted/chipped/scratched/dented from road debis. I dont want the same to happen to my Aero.

I have been thinking of ways to thwart this problem. I was thinking of the Saab hood tape http://www.saabcatalog.com/retail/category.asp?catalog%5Fname=Saab+Catalog&category%5Fname=Drive9395%3AHood+Edge+Protection+Strip&Page=1 and the Hood Protector http://www.saabcatalog.com/retail/category.asp?catalog%5Fname=Saab+Catalog&category%5Fname=Drive9395%3AHood+Protector&Page=1

I would go with the tape but it seems permanent and it does not match my car. That is important. I am leaning towards the hood protector. This thing seems as if it will stop boulders from hitting the car. I also like it since the web page states "Easy installation and removal." I am thinking I can pop it on when I am going to work and remove it when I dont want it on anymore.

Any expereince with being able to install/remove the protector easily? Any other ideas for this problem?

Thanks
Rich Maurin
