Saved me some typin'...... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: Detailed info on CPO program needed (Mike?), Misplacedyankee ![]() |
Your answers are spot on. 1. Tires, yea 6/32nds, but some dealers are sloppy, 2. Brakes, yea 60%, 3. Body and interior condition standards, loosely enforced, but note that they are relaxed for flaws below the belt line down low, 4. Saab makes the dealer pay for some stuff for the first 30 days, so sometimes a dealer wants a customer to wait a month before being able to fix something on Saab's nickel, 5. A car salesperson is allowed to BS as much as you'll tolerate, and trying to inflate a stated price on a CPO car by the value of the CPO, or $1,150ish, is kinda' tacky. "Passed the inspection but isn't certified yet" is also BS and inconsequential as no CPO car becomes CPO until it is sold and reported.
Unfortunately auto dealerships don't require advanced degrees or even a true understanding, but instead rely on an individual's capacity for believable BS. You found the place, these SaabNet BBs, to get the straight scoop
