I bought a CPO just under three months ago. An SE wagon 2001 almost fully loaded. A real beauty to look at. The first day I noticed a vibration at 120km and mentioned it to the salesman. A really nice guy. He said, "don't worry, It'll be taken care of". Before we shook hands on the deal he also promised me, in front of my adult sons, that he would deliver complete maintainence records shortly. I told him, I would never buy any care without a complete history of its service. He smiled nicely and said, "don't worry." Guess what? I have less than seven days on my original warranty. The car still vibrates and he has yet to deliver on the car's service records. Now he, and the service department, says, all Saabs vibrate (which from this terrific forum I know is not true). But what can I do. If I want to extend the warranty with GM I have to pay close to three thousand Canadian dollars for two years or 100,000 Km (now have seventy four). I hate to do this with a sales and service department which is so duplicitous. The only other GM Saab dealer is too far away to be of any use. What should I do? An independant service and used sales Saab outfit is offering three years warranty, (60,000 km) at just about the same money. I'm suspicious about the history of this car because even though it's CPO they refuse to show me the service records, but from what I can tell, never having driven a Saab before, except for the vibration it's a great ride. Why can't people keep their word? Any advice would be much appreciated.
