Buy CPO? Depends on the condition/maintenance history. I tend to think, assuming the car is in good shape, that it is more prudent to skip the CPO/extended warranty and save the diference.
Look at service history (if available), warranty repairs (dealer can pull up). Look for oil leak underneath car (may be fairly common), blue smoke on start-up, uneven wear on tires.
Have had my '99 V-6 for 18 months...replaced one DI cassette )Saab will pick up the cost of the part up to 60K miles.
