Balancer won't do much for idle vibration; you're feeling big, widely spaced power pulses (as opposed to smaller, more frequent pulses from a V8) working against the torque converter. Balance shafts are what makes it so sweetly smooth at high revs.
Like another poster said, you can get the dealer to bump up the idle speed a bit if it bothers you. The only time I really notice it is at idle, in gear, when the engine isn't yet completely warmed.
Fresh sparks make a difference too! I hear the 9-5 DI tends to blow all at once. On my 9k, the dying DI made it suffer under high load long before idle was affected.
