Do 2001 9-5s run rougher than a 1994 900s? Posted by James Bridges [Email] (#64) [Profile/Gallery] (more from James Bridges) on Thu, 6 Jan 2005 20:06:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I just recently purchased a 2001 9-5 with am automatic transmission. Love the car. But, the car seems to run a bit rough compared to my old 1994 900s 5-speed. I would have expected that a 9-5 would behave a bit more like a luxury car and be smoother and quieter. The mechanic said it is normal and that these cars will run with more vibration than my other car. I remember when I got the 900s the same mechanic said don't expect the car to run as smooth as my older 900 turbo. If I put the car in nuetral at a stop light it is not that noticeable but if left in gear the car seems to vibrate quite a bit. I don't expect or want the car to be as silent as a Toyota Camry or a Lexus but is this normal?
Thanks.
