I have a similar situation to you in that I have both a Saab 9 5 wagon and sedan along with a BMW X5 for the extra room. Overall this is a good car. However, you mentioned something that has bothered you about the Acura was some unexpected trips to the dealer. While Acura and Lexus tend to be very sound when it comes to repairs there are a few things you need to be aware of with the 9 5. If unexpected trips for repairs bother you then you owe it to yourself to consider these ongoing facts.
If you search this board you will find way too many owners who have had to replace the turbo unit more that once. This has been a constant problem going back to 1998 when this car first came out. The cost of this repair is about $1200.
Another problem has and continues to be the DIC. It can and will fail without notice. Again, this has been going on back to 1998.
The SID falls into the same situation as does the heater box and the PCV system.
I'm not trying to bash this car because it is nice to drive but rather I am just being clear with facts which have been present from day 1 and Saab has done nothing to fix them.
