I have asked for the numbers that she used to calculate the lease payment. Awaiting a response. As for your point about the car being 5k more expensive:
Does the ad lease use the MSRP that they state in the fine print on the site? Or do they use that price minus all of the rebates etc? I ask because the MSRP in the fine print of the ad lease is within spitting distance of the price the dealership quoted me after factoring in all the rebates...so I was assuming that the lease payments would also (even taking into consideration the down payment difference and the mileage difference) be somewhere near each other.
Things would begin to make more sense if the price the ad lease uses to calculate a payment is the MSRP in the fine print minus all the rebates. If that is the case, why the heck don't they post the price they are actually using to calculate the ad lease?
Thanks for your help. If I got a good enough interest rate, I bet I could FINANCE the car over 60 months for 580 a month...so why lease it? Heck, if I had 580 bucks a month lying around for a car payment, life would be great.
