I honestly don't know if I have the update or not. bought the car used about 2 years ago- never known to check on that. other posts on the board have made it sound like that's a hardware upgrade. is it really just new software?
the car's about 5 hrs away right now.
if I go with a new throttle body does that contain the limp solenoid? right now I've been quoted 2 separate costs for these.
seems like what I'll have them do now is: 1. check that I have the latest ecu software and update if needed, 2. check all the ground points including the one behind the seat, 3. check battery cable connections to starter and state of cable at terminal connections, 4. check that I have the latest electrical portion of the ignition switch, and if not, upgrade it to the latest.
then just go and get it.
that make sense?
thanks a lot for your help.
