It's difficult to give advice to another shop mostly because you don't know how good they are and how much testing they have done.

Have a "tech driving the car daily" is sadly a standard comment in the business. That doesn't mean they do it.

But on the other hand, they might try all they can but the car refuse to act up and in those cases it is not much to do then wait.

Is it a Saab dealer, Saab indy or a general repair shop?

I would check the fuel pump amperage draw with a milliamp clamp and my labscope. If that looks good I would leave that alone.

I would run the car really hot and leave it idling at a warm place with hood closed for 10 min and than turn it off and measure the resistance over pin 1 and 2 on the crankshaft position sensor (860 Ohm +-90). If that looks good (not more than 100 Ohm over nominal value), I would leave it alone.

I would look for software updates in the Trionic computer and do those if available.

I would double check so that the limp home solenoid is reset properly (no need to replace the solenoid if it is not broken).

I would check under driver seat for wet carpet and maybe damaged TWICE computer.

If all check out ok, then I would have no clue for the moment what it could be.

These cars are the worst ones and no mechanic wants to work on them because they loose so much money trying to find the problem. That's the sad fats of our industry that the mechanic doesn't get paid if he can't find the problem fast enough.
