The strict answer to 'bars,' meaning both front and rear, may well be 86 or even earlier SPGs. However, FWIW, my 84 900T 8v had a front sway bar.
It's handling was mucho improved by changing out the front sway bar for a pair of new front and rear bars. At the time IPD made them, I believe, although IPD no longer makes swaybars for Saabs.
