Work like those kick panels is easy for most good car audio shops. A good shop (independant NOT large chain stores) will be able to finish it in a day & charge you $250-350 for the labor. Usually, the installers do much more complicated work then a simple fiberglass enclosure like motorized amp racks.
My suggestion is to go talk to a audio shop(s) & if you can, bring an installer out to look at your car. You can print the pics of my enclosures if you would like but they should now what to do. Just STRESS that you do NOT want to loose any of the foot dead petal space & all should be fine :o) That was the first time my installer did stuff to a saab like this, however he did install my alarm so he kind of new what he was getting into.
Usually the tweeters are on swivel mounts so you can point them towards the middle of the car. I don't beleive that my leg is in the way of the speakers at all. It sounds just as good when I sit on the drivers side, passenger side & it doesn't matter if there is someone sitting in the pass seat either. I can see the tweeter from where I am sitting & moving my legs around also does not affect sound :o)
I have the factory Infinity grilles that came with the component set :o)
The bass/mid-bass response is FAR better then it's ever been. Yes, the encloasure is small but consider that the speaker does not need much. Probably .1-.2 cu ft is what it works in & the enclosure is large enough. Since the enclosure is sealed, the sound is so tight & accurate, I wonder if many people would even need a subwoofer.
I have tried a few different setups in my car & after listening to my installers opinion, MrSPG's opinion as well as not being happy with any prior system in my SPG, this is the way to reproduce by FAR the best sound. The labor costs a little bit but rear speakers as well as dash speakers are not needed :o)
