3 breakdowns, 1 by my SAAB, 2 caused by other vehicles.
My non-collision breakdown was caused by worn brushes in the alternator. It was a dark and stormy night ...
I did have a clutch failure, but I speed shifted. What made it really hard was that I didn't have 1st, so I had to start the car in 2nd. No fun at all. The saving grace was that it was a 150 mile drive on the NYS thruway instead of city traffic. Then the clutch could be fixed after I got home.
