Bench bleed the cylinder mounted in your vise.until no air comes out. Unbolt the old one after breaking the hydraulic lines free leaving the brake lines loosened a little but still inserted. Now working as quickly as possible, remove the old one, slip the new one in and thread in the brake lines. Done like this properly will mean you don't have to bleed the brakes. I never have when just replacing the master cyl. All the air you struggle to remove is what you pump in from the empty cylinder. But we all know that the real, and upredictable, struggle is the bleed nipples themselves. Go down and give them all a squirt with penetrant, though, for that time when it's unavoidable, or when you have a lot of time on your hands for a fluid flush.
