But brake pedal is hard as a rock with the engine off. What bothers me is this is the second master cylinder I've put in the car...the first one I put in also felt soft with the vacuum on but seemed to work for awhile...essentially after the warranty had run out. But the Castrol LMA DOT4 fluid turned black within a couple weeks...I think the seals were attacked or something. Then the pedal would go to the floor at a stop sign, OK, replaced the MC again and used ATE Blue. Now, a year later, the fluid is still the same blue. Oh yeah, and the braking balance situation was unchanged with the new master cylinder.
I'm about ready to plumb in a manual brake balance/proportioning valve and bias the fronts!
