How old is the pulley? If 1 year, then no; if 5 years or more definitely. The hardest part of the process is removing the pulley. Don't do all the work and try to save a few bucks only to have to redo it later. Having done mine a little while back (pulley, seal, o-ring), I would ALWAYS do them all together. My advice is to let it leak until the pulley needs replaced, unless the leak is driving you crazy, then the decision is easy.
