First thing I did before taking it in was to remove the apc! I had my hood repainted a few months ago. You want to remove as many trim pieces as possible. I removed the hood emblem, the wipers, the rubber pieces around wiper arm shafts, and the plastic trim on fenderwells. I also removed the rubber adapter attached to hood that's below the air intake slots and put cardboard beneath the hood slots, over the air intake hole. THat way they didn't overspray my air intake. I also removed the fuse for the windows and cabin air fan. WHy remove window fuse?? Because I had my 85 900t repaired after a lady ran a red light years ago. The idiot had the driver window completely down when he sanded the car. The entire interior was coated with dust. They obviously tried to wipe everything down but it was a mess in the vent fins, etc. I had my hood painted with expectation of a big difference in color but I was desparate since it looked like crap. But I was very surprised to see it looks great!
