I noticed that you state that you owned the Volvo for 15 years and therefore asume that you are not a young person ( over 30 for certain)so I will advise keep the Volvo as back-up and buy whatever you like. I have owned a 88 760 GLE for the past 10 years and it is our work horse. The thing just keeps on going and going and yes sometimes we do change the oil when we remember that it's been in there over a year. I also own a 1987 Saab 900T/convert which gets royal treatment , frequent synthetic oil changes garage kept, up on blocks in the winter etc. The car now still has less than 60, 000 miles but it cost plenty to mentain. So far had the trans rebuild, new alternator, new exchaust, electrical problems, hunting idle problems, the latest a manifold bolts near the turbo just fell off. Hope my wife doesn't read this posting because she doesn't know the half of what this Saab is costing me. The car is also noisy and harsh driving seems faster than the volvo untill you glance at the speedo and realize your holding on for life when your going 90 mph. with the Volvo at that speed your sipping your coffee and changing radio stations. HOWEVER I am addicted to my Saab and plan to keep it forever.
