my 900 base did not. 89 ECU's are suspect. I think the Townsend site has the specifics on which VIN's or part numbers on the FI computer. I am sure you can run the VIN through any Saab dealer to see about it if interested. I do not know if mine was original, but the car does run smoothly. There is nothing inherently wrong with the LH 2.4. I have had 3 of them. AMMs can go bad, but no worse than an LH 2.2.
