T3/T4 can be an excellent upgrade dependant on trim and a/r, etc.
# 1 mistake is buying a turbo that is unrealistic (larger than required).
Make certain that your compressor wheel matches your power goals and keep any upgrades modest when working around factory engine management (6000 and under engine rpm). On the 16V applications (assuming that you have this based on description) .48 A/R turbine housing should allow for 10 degree turbine trim for improved upper end performance through a reduction of exhaust backpressure at the turbocharger.
8V engine would have different requirements and T3/T4 hybrid will only provide gains through camshaft changes. Otherwise, the T3 with 60+ comp. trim could provide a match. .48 A/R with standard T3 turbine trim.
Regardless of your engine, a bit of trial and error may be needed if unsure as to turbo specifics.
Good Luck and have a great holiday weekend!
