On the freeway, I was following another car and started to smell antifreeze. Commented to my wife, "that poor sucker is losing coolant". She looked backward, saw our cloud of steam and told me that the poor sucker was me!

After the nearest garage offered to fix it (on a Friday night in the middle of winter) for $65, I bought a roll of duct tape and wrapped the offending hose. Topped off with water and left the cap loose so no pressure would build. That got me the 20 miles to home.

Curiously, this hose has failed on me twice, once on each 86 900T, within months of each other. (Twins, separated at birth?)
