Bad batch of bolts?

It's not unheard of, who knows where the GM/Swedes are getting their fasteners these days.
If you have the time, send a NEW bolt to ARP or a metallurgical lab and ask them to test it and/or sell/recommend one of their (ARP) fasteners. Make sure they have the stage torque recce's from Saab and the final angle tightening spec.
They're not supposed to yield until the final angle tightening. Either your torque wrench is off/broken or you got a bad bolt batch.
I'm sure ARP could fabricate a set of studs and nuts that will not fail.
Will also give you better sealing.
