What you need to find out is how many hours it will take to have this work done. In most cases you can have the work done by a pro for a few hundred bucks and furget about it. Just don't go into the first shop and act like you have not done any research. Ask him what his hourly rates are, ask him how busy he is and tell him what you want to spend. In most cases they will work with you.
