Seriously, just shift smoothly. Don't be one of those people
who wants to torture their gearbox by hitting it into gear as
fast and rough as possible. Good shifting is an art.
Try to 'double clutch', which is to blip the throttle before
shifting. This is more beneficial for the gear-train then
many people realize. Also, use good transmission fluid in
the Saab. Most people on here will recommend Red Line MTL
70w80. Use it religously.. and you should be fine.
The only other issue will be how much HP you plan to drive
through your gearbox. If you are going to mod up your car
to 250-300HP.. well.. beware. :> Of course the gearbox will
not last that long..
