I think maybe you don't know what 'double clutch' means. This is a technique for shifting non-synchro or slow/bad synchro trannys. The technique is to clutch, move shifter to neutral,release clutch, rev engine [ blip the throttle ], clutch again,shift to next gear, release clutch. By learning to increase revs the proper amount you can match gear speeds when engaging the gears on downshifts, which is what a synchro does. This was the technique for downshifting older 'slow synchro' trans, and upshifting non synchro trans. You can also blip the throttle in a single clutch downshift to match engine trans speeds so the clutch doesn't have to bring the engine up to lower gears engine speed.
