I drove for at least a month with a ripped booth on my right side CV joint. I am sure people may tell me that was crazy but I did not notice any bad stuff come out of that. I think there might be a chance that the wheel ball bearing might get ruined if you drive it too long and on dusty roads. Also, I assume you are going to replace the whole drive shaft and not the only the booth.
