I'm thinking some sort of bad ground or elec connection. And I can see how this won't show up during diagnosis while the car is not moving. All the extra vibration that comes with motion thus initiates the problem. I recently diagnosed a curious situation where the engine would seriously misfire (as if one or more spark plugs weren't working) during a cold start-up, but went away within 2 minutes of a 1500+ rpm warm-up. The culprit was the new warm up fuel pressure regulator I installed. An 84 model (parts yard) to be used in my 82, I thought it was going to be an improvement. No noticable difference after initial installation, but a week later the misfiring began. After a time of thinking it was anything but the new regulator, replacing spark plugs and wires, I finally put the old regulator back on and the problem went away. I'm guessing the electric connection inside the "new" regulator died, causing it to work only manually as designed once the optimal temperature was reached.
So my thinking is one of your new modifications is causing the problem. If so, replacing them (one at a time) with the original parts might determine where your problem is.
