Vortex Valve...

Hello fellow saabers,
In searching for part for my 1979 dodge conversion van, I came a cross a site http://www.vortexvalve.com which sells a finned metal insert which is claimed to improve gas mileage and power when fitted to the air intake preceeding the throttle body. At first it seems like a bunch of B.S.
However, in theory, it could make a difference in some cars. Though, I don't see the advantage for a turbo car because of the left turn air has to take from the throttle body to the cylinders, but as I always say:
"under the right circumstances, anything is possible."
The claim is that by sending air into a spin before entering the throttle body, a more efficient burn of fuel will take place. The only reason I'm even enteraining this whol idea is because i know that a Dodge 318 V8 is anything but efficient.
Anyway, I would like to hear any educated opinion, experince or suggestions regarding fuel efficiency
I'm presently using a K&N filter, an MSS exhaust and a 3 bar FPR in my spg w/ fully inflated tires. Is there anything more I can do mechanically?
(I work with a variety of mechanical, design and FEA engineers and we're all sort of in disbelief of this "vortex valve". No thermal-dynamics engineers here and I'm an Industrial Designer myself so I'm alway willing to try something new.)
TIA,
Steve Y
