Usually my car (85 900 Turbo) stays right in the middle of the temperature gauge, but in the last couple days it has been creeping up slowly.
A couple hours ago I was driving down the interstate and it worked its way all the way to the top of the guage (the little red line). This was after I topped off the fluid this morning.
So I'm guessing it is one of three things:
thermostat
water pump
clogged radiator
clogged radiator lines
The car has 160k miles and IS NOT leaking any coolant.
I'm going to try the thermostat first, but I also want to hear your opinion on what the weak link in the coolant system may be and whether the problem is likely to be something else.
Thanks a lot,
Rob
