I'm going to make errors here but you will get the idea.....

-smaller bumper/lights vs. big bumper/big headlight
preM87 vs M87&on
-solid rotors vs. vented rotors
preM88 vs. M88&on
-8v vs. 16v turbo
preM85 vs. M85&on
-sway bars on Turbo
standard M86&on (???)
-leather seating standard
M86&on (or something like that)
-oil/air cooled turbo vs. oil/water turbo
preM89 vs. M89&on (????)
-passive seat belts
???
-mitu turbo(spools faster/less max boost)??
M91 SPG&on
-old style rim/hole pattern vs new style
preM88 vs M88&on
-APC under rear seat vs. underhood
preM86 vs M86&on
-four door 16v turbo
M85 & M89/earlyM90 ONLY

I could keep going here......you get the idea.

by the way I own 2 1985 turbos and 1 1986 turbo, the wiring is a heads up deal. If you come across a 1985 turbo(first year for 16v, best cam) I can tell you where to look for the worst/first signs of bad wiring. It basically boils down to heat and how much the wires were subjected too.
