I thought I'd share this with you guys...
I was heading home from my parents house last night around 10:15pm.
I'm on the meadowbrook parkway heading north doing about 80-85 mph in the left lane. Not too many cars around. I know...I was speeding.
Just before I went under an overpass, I noticed a cop on top of the bridge with his cop lights on. I think nothing of it, I thought he had pulled someone over or whatever.
So anyway, I continue doing around 85 mph when all of a sudden, a set of bright headlights caught my attention in my rearview mirror. It looked like he had his high beams on. He has about 20-30 car lengths behind me at this point.
I thought to myself "OH NO...IT CAN'T BE A STATE TROOPER".
So at this point, I throw my car in NEUTRAL (5spd) and pull 3 clicks on my emergency break to slow me down without using my brakelights!!!. So at this point I'm doing 65 mph and look back up in my rearview mirror. It's a f&^%in state trooper. All I could see in the rearview mirror was his windshield, the state trooper behind the wheel, and his cop lights which were off. He was so close to my bumper that I could not see his hood! I thought to myself, holy $56t, holy $56t, I'm screwed.
So I, just maintained 65mph and did not move out of the way.
After about 3-5 minutes of him sticking to me like glue, he swerves into the middle lane, guns it and as he is passing me, his head almost turns 180 degress and he gives me a stern look.
I cannot beleive he didn't pull me over.
Maybe a classic SAAB fan??? OR pure luck???
My last ticket was 112mph in my 92 VW GTi (I was actually doing alot more).
And I thought I had learned my lesson.
