How do I separate Tailpipe from Muffler?

I got a Starla 900T tailpipe for my SPG as the previous owner had some p.o.s. hackjob put on. It looked bad and didn't line up. The muffler is in in moderate shape, as is the intermediate pipe. I thought I'd just get the tailpipe from a saabnet sponsor... Cost a little over $30 with a clamp and shipping. So I'm under the car, spraying penetrating oil and getting pissed off. Finally I made headway...

I just spent another 2 hours of shaking the pipe, letting more and more penetrating oil soak in, and pound with a rubber mallet. I drove around town to heat it up... Still no good. I've made it budge maybe 1/4", and that's probably even a stretch.
So, any advice on getting this bugger off? Or should I just take it to my local indy and pay him a few bucks to install the new one?
Any Clevelanders wanna help out? I'll buy beer and some grub!
