I don't have the passive belts, and I have yet to do anything more substanial. My car sat overnight last night and will tonight before I drive it tomorrow. I will do more in depth checking tomorrow evening.
I searched the BB and got a thread about checking the draw while pulling fuses, so if I find a high draw with the key off, I will do that.
When I check the battery's voltage with the engine running will that also indicate the charging voltage from the alternator? Can I test what sort of voltage it's putting out?
I hasd planned to get VDO guages soon, so I might get the voltage one a little sooner than expected.
Thanks for all your help.
This group has kept me sane a few times, I only hope that I can help others in the future.
thanks again and good wishes to all who were touched in any way by the events of this week.
