I'm with Bill U. on this one. If not enough air is getting "sucked through" that would indicate to me either a blockage in your air intake/intercooler, or this mechanic is completely off the mark and you have some kind of vacume leak or bad connection, or part, in your APC system causing base boost. I'm no expert, but I had a SAAB dealership tell me the same thing and I proved them wrong thanks to info found on this B.B.. I mean, to not suck enough air, either the blades on your turbo would have to be extremely worn, or the spindle would be hanging up due to very warn bearings. Can somebody check me on this? There really is not much to the turbo charger itself besides the blades, the spindle and the bearings. Do you hear you turbo spool up when you hit the gas?
