I really don't think buying a new honda is the way to go. Costs of getting a new car on the rode is note cheap. In fact you could rework you whole engine for that price most likely.
Also, you already own a car, so why not drive the saab until something happens. Then you can figure out your costs. Plus, having that $250 a month bill every month is not an easy thing to have while in school.
To be totally smart about this, and if you are worried about the costs of upkeep on the saab, you should look into an older honda. They aren't very fun, but they don't break and you can buy one for a good price.
But I would say stick with the saab. I actually bought my Saab while in college. And I ditched my honda for it. True, I've had to spend some money on the snaab, but no where near as much as buying a new car!
