of 16V turbos through the years and one takes off like a scolded troll (swedish saying) and the next one barely moves. This applies to the same style car of course, not comparing a SPG with a Autotrans equipped turbo.
Since I have done the service on so many of them I know they are tuned the same way with the same parts and still there is this huge difference.
One theory I have is how the car was broken in from new. I know, this sounds like mumbo jumbo but I don't really have anything better.
Some of them the turbo spins up instantly but don't produce a lot over overboost, other spools up slowly but goes into red and some don't do any of it.
I know you can learn the APC computer your driving style and that have some effect but that's not the whole story.
Hopefully someone else have a more scientific solution.
