Thanks for the replies guys.
I have the ECU from the '87 car I took it out of. Perhaps I should swap the injectors and intake manifold from the '85 engine that I took out? I'm guessing that plugging in the '87 ECU wont work because I think the fuel systems were different. Who knows.
Now that I think of it, maybe the cat was dead before I even swapped the engines. The previous engine died when I was sleeping in the car (long story) and the engine ran out of oil from the main seal. I woke up and there was smoke coming from everywhere and there was no coolant or oil left in the car, and it was not running. Perhaps before the engine seized itself, it did the cat in too and now that is fubar and not allowing any air through. Maybe I will be unbolting that tomorrow and finding a broomstick to shove in there.
